Heat Buildup Under Metal Roofs

GAF-Elk's Leak Barriers Sweepstakes
Q: What temperature compound is required for use with metal roofs?
A:

Heat buildup common under many metal roof applications requires a higher temperature compound than those designed for use where asphalt is used as a roof covering. To avoid running compound that may result in staining of surrounding property, use a product with a minimum 250°F compound.
